Well, this is interesting from Glenn Beck

I know, I know the above is from a "progressive" site. Anyone care to dispute this or give further explanation? May continue to be a weird and interesting election.

Further explanation would be that Beck believes Gingrich to be a progressive, which he is. He is saying that since Gingrich is a progressive and Obama is a progressive, then is the tea party racially prejudice by approving of one and disapproving of the other?

Not at all, it is just temporary ignorance; Gingrich will fizzle like Cain, Perry and Bachman. The proof against Becks theory, which shows Becks ignorance, is that the tea party supported Cain until he blew up.

Also, there is some difference in the policies espoused by the two.  I don't buy that Gingrich is a progressive in the same way that Pelosi is a progressive.

a lot of becks speech is spiced with high sarcasm.which is all he was doing here but a lot of people just dont get it.also everything he says is just one mans opinion.just cuz he says it dont make it so.if gingrich does fizzel then all we are left with is romney.who is definitely a progressive. in becks defense, gingrich was a supporter of obama care until just lately and was actually seen on tv agreeing with pelosi.

Beck is an entertainer and he gets big bucks for keeping the pot stirred. We might all be surprised to find what he really thinks.
I know during the 2008 Primary, he did his best like the rest at Faux news to derail Ron Paul. He knows the real reason for people favoring Newt over Obama is dumbed down party politics. Nothing to do with race. He knows the majority of Republican voters would vote for The Rev Al Sharpton, if he  said he had a change of heart, joined the GOP, and wanted to run  against  Obama.  :o :o

LOL! Well I don't think there's much of a chance of the Rev. having a change of heart ;D

But after seeing the two candidates the GOP and the press are obviously behind.Completely ignoring the only two decent ones.....Paul and Michele B.It really wouldn't surprise me!

Ron Paul has derailed himself. He doesn't need or require the media to do that for him. They basically ignore him.

Bill T, I believe Mr. Beck's words are directed at people such as yourself.  If your willing to vote for Gingrich over Obama then it must come down to a matter of race because politically they are both the same person.  As far as your "Ron Paul" comment, we get it, you don't like him.  But really this post has little to do w/ Paul and a lot to do with Glenn Beck's opinion of people like yourself.

So far as I'm concerned there is no way to really mis interpret Glenn's statement.  If you would vote for Romeny or Gingrich to get Obama out of office then the only explanation has to come down to the fact that your a racist and think that a white progressive can run this country better than a black progressive.
I'm voting 3rd party in this election by writing in Jesus Christ for president.  Sadly even if this were an option most of you would still vote Republican because "It's a two party system."

So now you have "determined" I'm a "racist" because I don't like Ron Paul?? This is exactly what I mean when I say Ron Paul supporters scare away more voters than they could ever hope to attract with their abstract, idiotic, stupid statements. As far as Glen Beck, I like the man. But recently he has gone off the rails, and as a result has lost a lot of credibility with a lot of people. Fox News kicked him off the air because of it. He had the potential to change his show from a boring, repetitious classroom, that people were getting sick of, into something that could have been really great. But he refused. So now as a result he has been restricted to the Internet where people are expected to pay to hear him.

I wish Beck luck, because as I say he is a good man, just as I believe Ron Paul is. But insulting people is not a way to increase your popularity, and win either new voters, or in Beck's case, new viewers. Both of these men are headed into oblivion because of their own actions and beliefs. Extremism never attracted anyone for very long. And throughout history has NEVER brought about positive change.

So your dubbing me a Ron Paul fanatic because I agree with Glenn Becks statement about people who would vote one progressive in to get rid of another.  Newt and BHO are essentially one in the same.  There is no difference.  Ones a progressive and one is a progressive.  If your offended take it up with Glenn Beck.  I just quoted his statement and you got all "offended".  Maybe you should look at the reason why your offended and then take it out on Beck and not me for merely quoting what he said and how it applies to you. And as for me being a Ron Paul fanatic.  You show me a person with better qualifications to run this country that is in the running right now and I'll happily vote for them.  It's not Newt.  It's not Romeny.  It's not Bachmann or Perry.  When you get down to brass tacks the best person that I feel is qualified to represent the people who want to get this country back on the right track is Paul.

If you feel like selling your soul and vote in a person just as bad as BHO then by all means do it.  My point is that when you choose to make that decision your making a vote to progress this country further towards a National Socialist State.  And that my friend is scarey.
I'm voting 3rd party in this election by writing in Jesus Christ for president.  Sadly even if this were an option most of you would still vote Republican because "It's a two party system."

Please explain to me how you are not doing the exact same thing by voting for Ron Paul, when he has no chance what so ever of winning? All you are doing is disguising your vote in some form of abstract wrapping of "freedom". When in reality you are advancing the progressive cause faster than I, or any Gingrich voter could ever hope to.

Let me ask you this Bill T.  How is voting for a progressive such a Gingrich NOT advancing the socialist cause?  How did this spill work for you last election when McCain crashed an burned?

Look, if you honestly believe there is absolutely no difference between Newt Gingrich and Hussein, I cannot help you. Stay home on election day, and forget politics. Because there is zero hope for you and your "cause".

1.) You are going to vote for Ron Paul, who will never be elected.

2.) You honestly believe that if Ron Paul doesn't win, it won't matter who does.

3.) You are at a dead end road regardless of which path you take, so why take any?

Just stay home and wait for the end. You have left yourself no other options by your own admission.

I keep hearing this old........Voting for a loser, no chance of being elected, idiots voting for idiots, BLA, BLA,BLA.I wonder (WHO) voted for a known loser last election? :o Seems like I remember old... I talk like a conservative, but vote like a liberal McCan't (McCain) didn't have a chance against a confirmed liberal last time, and look what or who we ended up with?

Chances are, if we had elected the Liberal McCain, we would be just as bad off as we are with Obama. No way of saying for sure because........The loser chosen to run against him didn't stand a chance ::)

No one will win a presidential election without drawing some votes from the other party.
Paul has been doing this. The young in this country don't have much of a future with the failing policies of the criminals in charge from both sides of the isle. They want a real change, and Paul is the only one with a different view. Truth be known, Obama was elected by Republican voters switching sides because of eight years of Bush. They saw no difference with McCain. You cannot blame the independent voter because they received between 1 and 3%.

"Chances are, if we had elected the Liberal McCain, we would be just as bad off as we are with Obama. No way of saying for sure because........The loser chosen to run against him didn't stand a chance ::) "

The same Republican 'inner structure" (that is, the rich liberals about everything but their own money) that have given us 'moderate winners' such as Bob Dole, GHW Bush, McCain now want us to support another of their own; Romney.  And he will get us just as far.

The ONLY way "we the people" got Reagan was we jammed him down the throats of the big money rich guys over their objections and outraged howls.  And they hated him as badly as the Dems did because they find real conservatives with a sound moral and religious core to be as threatening to their life style as Dems do.
Common sense is an uncommon virtue
