What does Fox news really think about R. Paul?
« on: December 16, 2011, 01:05:43 PM »
Listen to this hypocrite Cris wallace talk about the outcome of the Iowa Caucus if Ron Paul wins.
They are afraid their pick will fall on his face and are preparing to make the caucus appear to be insignificant if that happens.
I use to think the media had reached the low with Biased reporting from CNN, MSNBC,CBS,ABC and then along comes fair and balanced Fox and they made it complete. Completely BIASED.
http://www.mediaite.com/tv/chris-wallace-if-ron-paul-wins-in-iowa-it-will-discredit-the-iowa-caucuses/

It's become so obvious, they can't even hide it from their comments anymore. Just think! It would discredit the Iowa Caucus if Paul won.

Its clear that Wallace has an anti Ron Paul agenda. I guess Wallace feels that Paul does not fit into the GOP establishment. He has basically said that, with a Ron Paul win in Iowa. Iowa doesn't count, but will with a Romney or Newt win it will count. A win by Paul will not discredit Iowa, it will only discredit Wallace's statement.

Wallace is the same guy who worked for the Boston Globe, NBC, and ABC. His colors have not changed since Fox has hired him. He is one of the reasons I don't watch much of Fox news. If Fox News wants to be fair and balanced, they need to rid themselves of journalists like Wallace.
Shame on him for trying to get people to vote for someone that fits the GOP establishment. Of coarse that is what most journalists do. They try to mold voters minds into their way of thinking, and most of the time it works. Many people vote for who the media tells them to vote for.

Wallace might not be as objective as you would like, but if you think he is out there, try MSNBC, or just NBC for that matter.  Fair and balanced doesn't mean their reporters--or more correctly, their common tatters--will all be milk toast neutral on FOX; I take it to mean that they will try to have propagandists from all sides--even the Ron Paul side.

I think the point we are trying to get across is............There are NO fair and balanced American news sources left on TV anymore. If you want an unbiased report you have to look outside the US or go to the internet.Even then we have to weigh and sift to find the truth.

Most don't want to take the time to do this and turn to the Fox or MSNBC type to get their daily political fix. JMO! None of the Government (Corpo) controlled mouth pieces want Paul elected.

I wouldn't mind Dr. Paul in the WH. I would be very unhappy if he caused a 2nd term with the present dude.

“Well, and the Ron Paul people aren’t going to like me saying this, but, to a certain degree, it will discredit the Iowa caucuses because, rightly or wrongly, I think most of the Republican establishment thinks he is not going to end up as the nominee. The Republican establishment and their sycophants in the media are doing whatever it takes to make sure he is not going to end up as the nominee. So, therefore, Iowa won’t count and it will go on.”

There, I fixed it.

All you need to know about Chris Wallace is that he once told Howie Carr (famous conservative talk radio host in New England) on the air that he has a "man crush" on Mitt Romney.
"Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves."

Just think! It would discredit the Iowa Caucus if Paul won.

I doubt it would "discredit" anything if Paul won the Iowa Caucus. As you said, it would just prove the insignificance of it. I say that because if he should win, (he's certainly spent enough time stumping there), it isn't going to matter, because the Republican Party will never nominate him. A caucus is a caucus, it's not a primary election. There are no direct Electoral Votes  involved, only the choosing of delegates. Remember, Ron Paul has yet to receive a single Electoral Vote in the last 23 years he's run for the office of President. He, like any other Presidential candidate will require 270 of them to occupy the White House. Caucuses are rapidly becoming a leftover of obsolete politics anyway. Almost all states have switched to primaries, which get more ink. Twice as many states today will have primaries as in 1972.

As Dick Morris said, if the Republicans nominate Ron Paul all they would accomplish is a guaranteed Obama second term. Yes, I know you don't care for Morris anymore than you do for Wallace, or anyone else for that matter, who looks at Paul's candidacy with any political reality. But the fact is he's forgotten more about politics than a lot of people on this board will ever know. He got Bill Clinton elected TWICE with less than 50% of the vote. That is something you might want to think about before you dismiss him as a "hypocrite" as well. By the way, who is Fox's "pick" ??? ??

Is Dick Morris a hypocrite? Well He HELPED Bill Clinton with his run for governor of Arkansas, and then in DC.Now he has nothing good to say about the Clinton's. As a matter of fact.....He now hates them. Is that being a little Hypocritical?

As to him knowing more about politics than anyone on this forum, I wouldn't know about that. Only a chosen few are born with that ability. ::) I do know his advice caused Christy Mihos to lose the 2010 Ma. run for governor. Dick Morris is a snake oil salesman! I would put him in the same mold as James Carville, only not quite as ugly!

Who is the Faux pick? Well 90% of their airtime is given to Newt or Mitt...............Which one of those will get that electoral vote swami?

I think Rand Paul is right where we need him PM. As a matter of fact, we need more like him in the house and senate. Ron has fought the good fight for a good number of years, and this will be the last time we'll see him try for the office. The country has never needed someone like Paul as much as we need him now. Personally speaking........I think we have been blessed with this opportunity to get such a man into the highest office in the land.

I for one will not waste it!

Amen Brother.  I'll vote for the least Socialist candidate any day of the week!
I'm voting 3rd party in this election by writing in Jesus Christ for president.  Sadly even if this were an option most of you would still vote Republican because "It's a two party system."

I watched the last debate, and Hannity's interviews of the candidates afterwards. Hannity stroked the leaders, the also rans, and raked Paul. :o Hannity is also in the tank for the front runners, as is most all of Fox. Paul makes even Beck nervous. Beck likes Bachman, and Santorum.
I will support Paul if he is supportable, but I still think the handwriting is on the wall, and only Daniel seems to be reading it. The Republican Party does not want Ron Paul, therefore you will not get the chance to vote for Paul in the election. He will not make it in the primary. He is well organized, and seems to be better funded than ever before. He is gettin his licks in, and they are counting. FOR NOW! It will not last. Americans have "settled for less" for too long, and now "less" is running the Republican show. If it looks like he might win the nomonation, Republicans will come out of the woodwork, and destroy him. Republicans some of you helped elect.
You will once again, have to "settle for less", and it may well be four more, before he's out the door.
The Republican candidate carousel is loaded up with pretty, and Americans like pretty.

Probably Dee, but he, IMO (is)the only choice. He will get my support! I campaign for him locally, and  will continue to do so. That's all I can do or afford.

Again IMO, nothing will change for the better with any of the others elected, and we all will settle for less regardless. One can hope!

I don't disagree with a thing you said nwh. I think in some areas, Paul is another "lessor of", but I would dub him more "far lessor of" rather than the average "lessor of". So to speak. ;)

That's the camp I am in right now. None of them are my pick, I will vote for RP if nominated, holding my nose as I have done for a long time.

however, if he runs 3rd Party, I will be against him forever, as we know what would happen then & he would know also.

That is exactly why he is appealing to some. He is not a RINO and does not cow tow to Rupert. Like him or not. Disagree with his policies or not . He believes what he says ,, and walks the walk , not just talks the talk, so since Murdoch cant control him they try to dismiss him.

He believes what he says.

The problem with Ron Paul is the voters don't.

It seems to me that would be a problem with voters and not an actual problem with Ron Paul.  But in the long run people will get what they deserve.  The end result is socialism anyway in the two party system we currently have.  To many people on both sides of the aisle these days enjoy being a victim.

Not really. It's just that a large majority of voters don't see Ron Paul as the saviour that is going to set them, and the country free. Not everyone has an agenda who doesn't like Paul. Many simply do not want him, or his policies.

I don't see  that ! I'm hearing more and more every day supporting R.P. Some apparently (don't want) to see it that way. ::) The Ron Paul revolution is picking up steam, and it scares the hell out of the media, and some people.Ron Paul by the way isn't running for the position of Savior. It's a much smaller office he is seeking!

I don't see that !

Few of his base do. That is the biggest part of the problem with his campaign. Do you hear of any of the other candidates supporters claiming to have more support than they really do? Bachmann's people have no problem accepting her low numbers. Neither do Santorum's camp. It's only the Ron Paul people who think they are all but invincible.

Don't get me wrong, it's fine to support him. But this business of thinking he's got a lock on the nomination is proposterous. He spent a great deal of time and money in Iowa. He should win there. If he doesn't he's doomed in the other primaries.

I don't recall anyone saying Ron Paul was invincible. It's obvious you don't like him, and want to see him fail! That's fine! If you would like to see Newt or any of the others win over Paul, then by all means vote for them in the primary. Campaign for them if you like!Shout the name of your choice from the roof top. That's your right! All I see coming from you is denigrating remarks about those of us that do like and support Ron Paul.

Stop putting words in my mouth. I like Ron Paul. I don't like a lot of Ron Paul's policies. I like a great many people. That doesn't mean I would want them to be President.

No one is putting words in your mouth! It's obvious from the negative incorrect comments you make about Paul, you don't like him! What do you find so hard about accepting that? You sound to me like your afraid he might win the primary in spite of the media hurdles he has to face. To compare him to Hunt, or Santorum is laughable! You believe that dribble if you like, but don't expect anyone else to buy it.

My apology's to the other members for getting off topic, which is..........What does Fox news really think about Ron Paul. Not what NW_Hunter or Bill T think about him.Let's get it back on topic!

Fox News doesn't "think" anything of Ron Paul. They report what they see.

Sorry but I've yet to see any major news outlet that was in the pocket of a political party ever unbiasly report "what they see."  It's as skewed to the republican side of the line as the other outlets are skewed towards the democrats.  The answer lies somewhere in between.  Most people are too lazy to do the legwork to sift out the real news in between.
I'm voting 3rd party in this election by writing in Jesus Christ for president.  Sadly even if this were an option most of you would still vote Republican because "It's a two party system."
