Going Back
« on: December 17, 2011, 01:54:41 PM »
I'm going back and should have boots-on-ground the day my wife is expected to deliver our second child. I'll be gone for close to a year. Please keep her and my children in your prayers, this is gonna be a tough one for us. A little prayer here and there for me wouldn't hurt any either. ;)

I'll need some Handi project ideas once I return.

Thanks, Dinny

Like every one else I am very proud of my nephews-in-arms.
You guys are not only protecting and defending all of us,
you are validating the service of all of us who went before you.
...so we especially appreciate you.

Lonny's joke about pay brings up a point:
with Dinny's skills he could walk into any Hospital and get a better paying job
in short order.
So I appreciate the dedication that keeps you serving as much as the service itself.

My hat is off to Dinny and all of his contemporaries.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

Rog,
I'm all over that! I will have to reenlist while I'm gone. I have a strong feeling they won't be able to resist my insistence for assignment to AK. ;)
