Got permission to hunt hogs on a farmers land

I work for a farm equipment dealer and get to talk to a lot of landowners. I have one that I deliver to occasionally and we got to talking about hunting, etc. He mentioned he had a hog problem and that him and his hired hands had shot a few, one approaching 400 lbs. He stopped in my work last week to get some Christmas presents and before he left he asked me when I'm coming up to hunt hogs. I couldn't believe it!!! I said as soon as the holidays are over I will call him to set up a day to come up. He said he will show us around, but they are hard to find. It'a a 2 hour trip one way from my house but it will be worth it if we get lucky enough to get one or two. I will post the outcome after we go. Man I'm excited, but I know it won't be that easy.

 That would be way to cool. I heard a rumor of some around Mitchell. Got a buddy checking it out. Crossing my fingers. Good luck.

Sounds great! I received my NRA mag today and it has several articles about hog hunting. It also contains a map showing where hogs have been sighted. It shows some pockets in Indiana.

I know that a lot of people would like to hunt 'em, myself included, but the damage they do far outweighs any sport that they might provide.
