Can only offer a little on the Sweet 17's. Never had one myself, but a pard bought one for one of his 17HMR's. The times he came and hunted with me at much higher elevations than where he originally had set it up at home, he had to set it up again for elevation, or change his hold a little. IOW, even the 17HMR gives enough extra velocity at 6-7000' higher elevations that for consistent head shots (on peekers) he had to compensate (one way or the other) at the longer ranges. Wouldn't be a problem if shot closer to the elevation where it was set up though. The 17HMR doesn't tax their strength, so no idea on that. FWIW
