If you have to ask the question you are not ready for one yet....<><.... ;)

That's probably the best explaination I've heard yet!  ;D

It took me a little while but when I was ready, I had to wonder why it took me so long?
My culled down Handi's are the 45-70, and then I have a few others to keep it company...357 Mag/Max. .45 LC/.454 Casull Carbine, .243 Ultra, and 20 gauge Tracker II.

I have a 450 Marlin, so it's a 45-70 with a belt. Killed 1 deer with it but haven't used it that much. I'm in more open county here in NE, so our shots range from about 100 to 400yds. Most tend to use the flatter shooting cal. like 270,30-06 and 7mm-wm. and 308. Zeak
Zeak,

A bit off topic here, but I was always curious, does a 45-70Govt chamber and shoot safely in the 450Marlin?

Regarding the 45-70, three great things about the round, accuracy, knockdown power, and easy to reload.  I have two.

Merry Christmas to all!

My quandary, I personally, don't think I have enough Handi's but, I know I have more Handi's than I really need or should have.
