The UN is in NY , also Canada and Japan are leading the fight to get the UN to get treties to disarm citizens. AND CANADA IS TO OUR NORTH. The last time I visited Canada to hunt it took several hours to get across at the border. At one point I was questioned as to how many hand guns I owned and why I felt it nessary to have them. They were collecting data I assume to feed to interpol or such. The anti gun folks are real the NRA is making a difference wheather you like how they do it or not .

Like I said many times, I will support the NRA!  Every time I see people on a gun site attack the NRA, and they are gun owners, it makes me sick!  Makes me work harder to recruit more people into the NRA.  Some gun owners are stuck on stupid.   ::)

jimster - Unfortunately what sidewinder319 said has some truth to it.  The UN has been trying to pass a treaty to regulate the sale of small arms throughout the world, including the US.

I never said it was not true....I pointed out the NRA taking money from me WILL NOT STOP THAT...no matter how much I give, even if I gave 100,000 bucks.  If there is someone on this site that thinks money out of their pocket will keep the UN from doing anything...you got the same problem global warming fans have.  They won't change the temp on the earth by emptying out their pocket books either, any more than your money will sway the UN toward PRO GUN ideas.

Now fellers...I been accused of sayin some things I did not really say, I've been accused of not reading what is written, and I've been accused of attacking about 4 million people, all based on what I wrote, which a couple people did not really read, they read between the lines I guess.

Seems to me some on here are no better than the progressive libbys when it comes to certain things, using emotions instead of a wee bit of thinkin...and attacking anyone that don't agree with them.  Well, there ya go...NRA is damn near a UNION I guess....hard to get out of it when you choose to do so.

And I am sorry I brought up one exerience with the NRA (I have more you won't want to hear)....I reckon some people could not handle it.

It is interesting how close you come to using the Brady Handgun Control message concerning the NRA and American Gun Owners.  No surprise we are  nearing an election and the AntiNRA forces are stepping up the attacks. :(

You still don't get it do you? I was attributing those qualities to you. Biggest pair of blinders I ever did see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(have you figured out yet that not once have i denigrated the NRA?)

Fella's keep in mind when you stop your support of the NRA you're also jerking support from underneath things like the 4-H and FFA shooting programs, you're pulling support from a multitude of shooting competitions ranging from muzzleloaders to 50cal.. There's more to the NRA than a lobbying orginization.

In the 1920's "sheeple" was a term coined by the National Socialist Party in Germany to describe people that would not vote for Hitler. In the 1930's they held Hitler as the only one that would bring pride back to Germany and bring the budget and economy back.....

A little more information regarding the UN Gun Ban Treaty, for those who are interested:

One thing to keep in mind on these UN treaty scares, the United States Constitution specifically forbids entry into any treaty that would override any provisions of the constitution....So the
"UN gunban" treaty cannot be ratified by the senate unless there's some major changes to the US constitution, and that takes not only a majority of the senate, but it also has to be ratified by 38 states.

Really then where in the Constitution does it call for the country to join the United Nations??  This president has called for changes with a simple stroke of the pen, no one has stopped him. Gen. Washington in his last address warned the government about foreign entanglements. Yes, but we joined the U.N. Do you feel that safe??

The only reason for the UN was formed is, for other countries to milk the United States of it funds, and impose there liberal global agenda on us. Screw the UN.... Get them out of the US now!

RH1 sooo true.  Hell after WW I a world consul would end all wars. Almost 100 years later and many wars we are still feeding this bloated tick. It is the prop for holding up all the failed socialist government across the world. The left complains about American millionaires. But the left forces the American Taxpayers to make and support socialist millionaires who starve and kill their own people. ::)
