Whisker disk rests
« on: January 16, 2004, 04:08:55 PM »
What does everyone think of them?  I see a some on clearance at Wal-mart and am thinking of getting one.  They have one for aluminum and one for carbon arrows.  It seems like a neat idea to me.  The arrow would never fall off the rest like the one I have now does.  Is there a better style than the Whisker?
Thanks,

I use Wisker Biscuit rests on both of my compounds and think there are the best hunting rest out there.  There is a deluxe model that I would recommend over the standard models.  That deluxe model has an elevation adjustment as well as the standard windage adjustment.

This is very helpful when you are tuning your broadheads to your field points and you can make your elevation adjustment there rather than moving your nock point.

I have the standard models on both of my bows and my son has the deluxe on his.  There is also a new style with the slot already cut into the biscut for inserting the arrow from the side.  Works great and I modified my old biscuits for this by cutting out a segment.

The principle behind the two sizes for arrow shafts is that the shaft is to make as little contact as possible with the bristles on the biscuit and there should be a gap on all sides except where it touches on the bottom.
