do it youself, just grind some metal off the top of the safety

oh yes it is. the safety is too long. all of them are like that. save youself some money.

By top it sounds like you mean the hump of the button. Yes it's too long and with the different lengths of the slot for sliding the button this will be better.
This will also look much better although the rear edges could be rounded more.
