OLD Pump 35 Rem.
« on: December 25, 2011, 12:39:43 PM »
My better half's father has a Remington pump 35 Remington that he got from HIS dad, who bought a pair of them new in 1926.

He showed me one of them, and it doesn't have a model number on it.  Can someone tell me what model Rem.'s they are?

  Yup, that's the one...  Thanks...

Anyway, grandpa bought a pair of them in 35 for him and his new bride to go deer hunting with on their honeymoon in Maine. (1926)  They both shot 8 point bucks and had shoulder mounts made, where they displayed them in their dineing room for many years!

Sounds like he picked a good woman to me!  lol

Sounds that way to me as well.

In our hunting camp in Georgia many years ago there was a older guy that hunted with one of those. I always liked the older remington pumps, but not enough to ever buy one.... :D

Back in the 70's, I bought a 141 in Michigan when stationed at Wutrsmuth AFB.  It was a 35 and price was $120.  I took two bucks in two years with two shots.  Bang flop each time.  But I sold it for $125. when I rec'd orders to overseas assignment.  Now they go for $375. to $475.  So it goes.
