Peep sight on a Steven's favorite

I have a Steven's favorite, drilled for scope base.  I don't want to ruin the lines of the gun with a scope, IMO.  I am finding the open sights harder too shoot well, age catching up with me.  I was wanting to put a peep sight on the gun.  I thought of a tang sight.  Has anyone done this.  I would also be interested in seeing pictures.  Thanks!
