I was browsing through Brownings website looking at the different varieties of BAR's, and none really did it for me. Then on a whim I went to their International(over-seas) site and found exactly what I was looking for. Its called the BAR Shorttrac Hunter. Basically its a Shorttrac, with more classically styled, oil finisherd stocks. The checkering pattern is very American styled, and the foreend has a schnable tip. They state the barrel is 51cm long, just under 20", and it has a quarter rib, and fiber optic sights. I really like the look of this rifle, but I don't think Browning offers it in the states. Its quite curious, the shorttracs don't sell well here because of their gaudy, European styling, but they sell an American looking semi auto the the French and Germans?
