I've never done this before
« on: December 27, 2011, 04:30:08 PM »
I've seen prayer requests online and have sometimes offered up prayers for folks I've not met face to face, but never considered requesting prayers myself. However, outside of my own meager prayers and those of my wife, I don't know where else to turn. Our youngest son has isolated himslf over the past few years. He lives with us but is constantly angry and frustrated with his job. He has no friends and, when pressed for a reason for his occasional cynical laughter, accuses my wife and I of muttering insults about and toward him under our breath. It has us terribly freightened and concerned. Please, please, pray ferverently and sincerly for him.

Thank you so much,

Cleburne

I will be praying for your son and also for you and your wife.

CLEBURNE. Prayer sent friend. Sounds like your son may not be real stable mentally and is trying to blame you and your wife for his failures. My wife and I know what you are feeling, we've been through it. The fear you feel is not unrealistic but very real and justified. You fear for what is happening in your sons life, and possibly for your own safety. It got bad enough that we put a deadbolt on our bedroon door and locked it when we went to bed. We took out a mental inquest warrant on the oldest boy and he spent a couple of days in jail. His attitude when he got out was totally different and remains so. A lot of prayers went out, and were answered.
I hope I misread your post and that you are not going through this. Prayers will continue. Charlie.  :( :( :( :( :( :(

Thank you both for your prayers. Powderman, my wife and I don't fear for our safety, only for the spiritual and mental health of our son. We want a loving, warm, "normal" family relationship. Do, please, keep him in your prayers. Your kindness is sincerely appreciated.

Sounds as if he is giving in to despair and depression, which are always sent by Satan to try to turn us from our path to God.

Almighty God, Who delivered Your people from the bondage of the adversary, and through Your Son cast down Satan like lightning, deliver Joshua also from every influence of unclean spirits. Command Satan to depart far from him by the power of Your only begotten Son. Rescue him from demonic imaginings and darkness. Fill him with the light of the Holy Spirit that he may be guarded against all snares of crafty demons. Grant that an angel will always go before him and lead him to the path of righteousness all the days of his life, to the honor of Your glorious Name, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen.

Thank you all so very much. What a comfort to know there are more prayers than my meager ones being offered for Josh. I trust in the Father that this trying time is but the storm before the calm, and that He has great things in store for Josh. He truly is a wonderful and multi-talented person. My hope is that the scales will fall from his eyes and he will see at least a glimpse of God's personal love and compassion for him and that he uses his talents to bring the Father's love to others.

Very Warm Regards,

Cleburne

Also, take comfort in the attacks by the evil one.  He attacks most strongly when a person is drawing close to God.  So Joshua must have Been Doing Something Right.
