I would consider it a personal favor if you post all your efforts with these two chamberings, as well as details of the rifles used.

Just purchased a untouched Napel Snider from IMA during their 10% off black Friday sale. The one I received has some original British hardware on it.  It cleaned up nice and the rifling's are better than my Krag.I purchased 24 gauge brass shotgun shells I am going to neck down for brass.

After doing the Snider I decided to push my luck so I ordered a untouched Napel Martin Henry from Sportsman's Guide ( shipped from Atlanta Cutlery). I get 10% off there with my membership and they had another coupon for $20 off $99 or more. It was 100 complete and after cleaning the yak lard off the Snider it only took 4 hours to clean up the Martin. I purchased 10 rounds of brass for the Martin ($4 a pop) and have ordered 3 lbs of FF black powder for both of them. The Martin slugged out at 4.55 so I am planning using my 4.58 45-70 bullets for it.

Going to be a while before I get around to loading for them. I  have to buy another press for the 1/125 dies.

I agree those Savage 219/220's are good looking single shots.

Doug,
What model Martini did you get?  I had a cadet for a short time and liked it. Did nto like the limitations of the gate. (No long cases)  Its a nice rifle too... Just saw Sherlock Holmes in the movies and they had a couple Martinis used in that one...

It's a GAHENDRA MARTINI HENRY. I know it is not a true Martini but not a bad rifle for $150.
There was supposed to only around 8,000 made so the price should go  up once they sell out.
It uses leaf springs in the action instead of coil springs.

Not much new from me.  .308's with 4064, hunting loads with 150 grain bullets, both Core-Lokts and for the first time some Ballistic Tips.  And some 30-30's with LVR powder, also with 150gr Ballistic tips.

Yotes are starting to move around me so loading up some precision 60 gr V-Max's pushed by 24.6 gr of 332 for the R-15 223.  Whacked a big male at 320 yds last wednesday, had a beautiful almost black coat on him. Skinned that stinky bugger an hour after he fell over, forgot how easy it is to skin them when warm...

Have you loaded black in a cartridge before??

It requires a softer than normal lead alloy, as well as a softer than normally encountered bullet lube.  (at least that has been my experience)

Once the brass is formed it will need an almost immediate cleaning to get a good case life.  Simple water will do.

Sounds like fun, when other things are paid for I plan to have a Martini (real or otherwise) and a Sharps

Mainly focusing on .223 (new to me so playing a bit.  8) and just found brass finally for my 30-40 Krag to start some new bullet reloads.  Also starting in on a batch of .38 special for the wifey's pink lady to digest and a big set of .45 acp to replace all I've shot up.  Hoping to get out to the 500m Silhouette range next week and try smacking some goats with the 7.5x55 with a load I haven't tested that far yet.  It's nice at 250, so hoping it holds up to 500.  ;)

Right now?

Right now, I'm doing all my shooting with my black powder, muzzle-loading flintlock Pennsylvania Long Rifle and 2 percussion cap Hawken .50 caliber rifles... but I reloaded 30 cartridges for my Model 99 Savage in .300 Savage caliber in mid-November to use  while deer hunting at my bestest hunting buddy's cozy hunting cabin in the Moshannon State Forest in the mountains of north-central Pennsylvania.

I also reloaded twenty 7x57 cartridges for my Ruger #1 International (aka "RSI" with the Mannlicher-style stock) thinking that I might take it on the up-coming deer hunting trip instead of taking my Savage Model 99.

Jus' my 2˘...

prepping cases for a hunting trip ...the 200 meter range will not be open till April in are area... looking to work up some loads for the 200 meter range... so prepping cases for the 30-06 and 7mm rem mag.....Also getting a couple hundred 7.62x39 mm brass ready....I hate to have over 100 rounds for one application....There worth more to me if the reloading component's are not tied up in loaded ammo....But you can not get enough brass re sized and trimmed in any caliber.. I am loading 6X45 test ammo for my new Black Hole rifle getting ready to try some F-class once I find the load.  I am also working on a BHW 20 LBC wildcat that is a real challenge to load for.

I just finished up my inventory of components and loaded rounds and found I had loaded 3561 rounds last year.

;)  Today, will load some .270's for my recent pawn shop find...most likely some 110 grain Serria for coyotes, and some 140's for testing for fall...may load a few .300 Win.'s for my other pawn shop find...and 10 test rounds for the old 7mm Rem Mag. with 168 grain Bergers...also a 3 shot test group for my .358 with WW 200 grain Silvertips...in factory loads, these barely shoot under 6 in. at 100 yards..with 200 grain Horn..it runs around 1.5-2" so will load 3 Silvertips over H4895 and give them a whirl...

There's a new way to measure your bullets, by the gallon.  I can hear CNN describing a raid at Lloyd's place. "and 71/2 gallons of bullets were found on the premisis"

Neck turning and final processing 100 pieces of Lapua based 20 LBC today.  Got things lined up for my new BHW 223 barrel for F-class. Sized and processed 300 pieces of Winchester brass for it.

I doubt theres much of a chance of that happening. Heck the local sheriffs dept guys come over and get ammo from me to practice with.

The only thing I'm reloading is my screw gun. I'm in the middle of a dragged out, half planned bathroom remodel (my fault).  A big pile of tools and junk are blocking access to the loading bench. I'm finally in the forward progress mode tho after having to back peddle a couple times.

I'm resizing brass and getting my Ruger .270 ready for a summer of shooting with my Wife and kids and I have discovered that I'm having a presuure problem with my .270 ammo. I wonder if my scale was off when I loaded this ammo...There are about 6 fired cases that show signs of over pressure...so I've pulled all the remaining rounds apart and saved the powder so that I can go back and weigh them.

I may be doing load development again for my .270 if those rounds weigh out fine. DANG I hate setbacks.  ???

Just polished 400 cases for my 30 carbine. I have 2000 Remington 110 grain soft point bullets and a jug of 2400. Once preped, the 550 will stamp them out quickly.

25 WSSM.  Got my custom-made neck sizer today, which is the only die set I have access to at the moment.  Running 760 in it, and I suppose I might try a few with Re-17.  Rather a perplexing array of bullet brands and weights to go with. :D

Going to start prepping .44 Colt brass & later working up loads using Rapine hollow-base bullet.
Today, used ceramic tooling to face .150" off base of RCBS .25-20WCF neck-sizer die.  Cut new chamfer with carbide boring bar & polished everything up to mirror finish.  When the Remington brass comes in, I'll push shoulders back & shorten...WJ Jeffery .255 Rook.  When weather breaks..I'll have to get busy casting Lyman 252435.
