My soon-to-be son inlaw has an elk permit for a late seaon hunt here is Colorado. I'm loading some .300 mag ammo for his hunt. He did a great job on 4oo yard Antelope earlier this year...should be good Elk Medicine.

“Ain't this somethin'? I told my pap and mam I was going to be a mountain man; acted like they was gut-shot. Mother Gue said to me; ‘Make your life go here, son. Here's where the people is. Them mountains is for Indians and wild men.’  "Mother Gue", I says "the Rocky Mountains is the marrow of the world," and by God, I was right. Keep your nose in the wind and your eye along the skyline.”

Loaded up some 28 gauge yesterday and started in on some 243 LBC this AM. Trying out a new 105 grain bullet. I hope it shoots well as I need a good one for 1000 yards with that little guy.
