Here is my Heckler & Koch SLB 2000 in .30-06 with Zeiss 3-9x40 scopes and EAWquick detach swing mount.  I have the 2, 5 and 10 round magazines.  With standard .30-06 ammo I can obtain 1 inch groups at 100 yards.

This is my 760 BDL in .308 with Simmons 44MAG scope 2X - 7X.  Millet mounts.  It shoots an honest 2 inch group (100 yds) with plain but effective core-lokt ammo.

Yep.  A nice looking outfit.  I remember those BDLs.
I'm a bolt man myself.  Started with a 742 however.  Rather have a bolt with a good trigger for the first shot, than the fire power for repeated shots.

Here's a couple of mine:

Upper gun is a Remington 7400 in .308 with a Redfield Widefield 2X7 variable set in a Weaver base and rings. In addition to the factory 5 shot clip, I have 2 metal 10 shot clips for it.

Lower gun is a Remington 760 Carbine in 30-06 with a Leupold Vari X III 1.5X5 variable set in a Redfield rings and base.

I certanly like my bolt actions also, BUT, these triggers can be worked on to give very satisfactory performance, and in addition to being a joy to carry and pull up to the shoulder, they are a helluva lot more fun. It's been said that after shooting one of these, bolt actions are boring, LOL. I'm inclined to agree.

I have owned a couple Remingtons  760 , 7600, and a Savage 170 in centerfire but they are gone now.
Right now I have a couple 22 pump actions that are fun shooters. A Winchester M 1906 with red gum stocks and a Keystone that I believe was made by Savage. Both work really well , the M 1906 is more a boys size rifle and the Keystone is a full sized rifle.
