Had to google the Win 61; looks like a hammerless version of the Win 62.
My father got my grandfather's 62.
I would have got it, but burglars got it first.

Already got a S&W model 63 w/5"bbl, 617 w/4"bbl, 3 Ruger sp101's 4.2" bbl.
List of wants.... 8)
1. First 1 more 5" model 63
2.  Second the .22mag equivelant of the 63 w/5"bbl (maybe 2 of them)
3. Ruger sp101 4.2"bbl .22mag (hope someones listening here ;) )

I just bought a Savage Mark 22 Target 22LR with a lefty thumbhole stock.  I like it very much.  Wondering what your favorite 22LR ammo might be for target shooting?

Another lefty. Welcome.
22's have different appetites. You should buy a smorgasbord of ammo, one box of everything, and see what yours likes best.
I could see me drive one of those heavy bench Savage 22's off the lot one day, especially since they make a lefty version.
What scope did you put on it?

PP, I have the very same lefty savage,put a silver Aetec on top,shoots good. Also the browning trombone is very old,the BPR is about 1980 or so vintage,entirely different gun.

POWPOW     I bought a used 4-16 Centerpoint tactical.  So far I like that too.  May need to change as I get into target shooting more, but good for a place to start.

I know where there's a new in the box CZ 452 17HM2, with extras...

  Too bad they have that oddball azzbackwards safety on them. If it wasn't for that, i would have bought one long time ago...

I'm wanting to get an Uber Accurate bolt action .22 in either rimfire or centerfire...I just cannot decide on make and model.

Uber as in Anschutz...or CZ/Savage?
I like my CZ452; shotgun shell at 100 yards accurate and pretty.

They work well in the field.  They may look awkward but they really are not.
If you have the rifle to shoot as you bring the rifle ot Port arms the safety goes on with a flick of the thumb, and the same as you are walking the fields and see a tree rat or a cotton tail a flick of you thumb back as the rifle comes up and the safety is off.
If you just poke holes in paper from a bench, then it too is simple.  Your trigger finger moves to the safety and and a pull back and the safety is off, and a push forward and it is back on.
I own tow C452's one is iron sighted and the other wears glass.  I have a couple of old tube fed bolt action rifles with slide safeties like on a Rem 700 and they are back to fire forward to safe.  Again I thought they were aweful until I took them into the field and used them.  as you pull and dip the barrel the safety naturally comes off.

  I just don't see any reason to "learn" a new system to use a safety, when pretty much everyone else uses the same direction.
 
  I choose to vote with my dollars, and buy something that isn't an oddball in the first place.  I mean why should i, when there's so many other better choises that do it right.

Capitalism at it's best.  Get what you want.  First law of Economics : willing and able.  You may be able to buy a Cz but not willing. Ruger 77/22 has a wing safety like the Winchester M70.   
I think the Cz is one of the the best 22 Bolts on the market.  It feels like a real rifle, looks good, good adjudtable sights, and is accurate.  There are multiple models to suit most desires. 
Taking my Cz trainer to the range has sold a few of them when we use the factory sights to break clay birds at 200 yards.  And slide the sights to 100 and break more.
The one thing I do not like about the Cz guns is the plastic mags and the cost of the metal ones.
We set up my Cz Varmint and sighted it in a month ago.  My friend said it was another one of my boring rifles.  I asked what he ment by boring,  He said you aim the rifle at something and squeeze the trigger and you hit it.  Boring!  No doubt of hitting a target like a golf ball at 50 yards.
But then again so is my Ruger 10/22 T model.

PowPow, I have the CZ in the .22 mag and love it, and I just lately picked up a savage 93 in the .22 mag also couldn't
pass up the price on the savage with a scope 229.95 ! I have a .22mag hand gun I'm using that with the bird shot in it
for the snakes.

I just bought a Henry lever gun.  My uncle who had a Win 9422 liked my Henry better.  It was smoother and easier to lever.
Now I am thinking a Henry in 22 Mag may be on the list.  (but I have a H&R handi and a Marlin 882 in 22 Mag that I don't shoot as often as I should.)

I'm jonesin for a Savage MKII FVSR and a good can for the end. Hell a Sav Fav 30g is on the list as well as a 22Magnum, 17Hornet and a       gotta stop for now            Mossberg MVP.

   The price isn't too bad either, considering that you can buy an "average" .22LR, easily put $500 more it...and likely still be outshot by this rifle..
