“Lost?? Hmmm... been fearsome confused for a month or two, but I ain't never been lost!”
Henry Frap the "Mountain Men"

“Ain't this somethin'? I told my pap and mam I was going to be a mountain man; acted like they was gut-shot. Mother Gue said to me; ‘Make your life go here, son. Here's where the people is. Them mountains is for Indians and wild men.’  "Mother Gue", I says "the Rocky Mountains is the marrow of the world," and by God, I was right. Keep your nose in the wind and your eye along the skyline.”

Seacoast Artillery Co. wishes everyone a HAPPY and PROSPEROUS  NEW YEAR!
Smokin' my pipe on the mountings, sniffin' the mornin'-cool,
I walks in my old brown gaiters along o' my old brown mule,
With seventy gunners be'ind me, an' never a beggar forgets
It's only the pick of the Army that handles the dear little pets - 'Tss! 'Tss!

Happy New Year!  It has been 2012 here in Korea for the past twelve hours.  I continued on with my tradition of shooting an arrow just a couple seconds before midnight, so that it takes off in one year and lands in another (I suppose you guys could do a version with cannons!).  I've been doing this since 1999.

Happy New Year to everybody everywhere!
RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

The one thing that you can almost always rely on research leading to, is more research.

It is the new year.

We just got back (drove 2700+ miles) from visiting relatives and friends in Des Moines, Omaha, Marshalltown and Minneapolis.  Spent new year's eve somewhere on the way back.

Looking forward to seeing lots of pictures of smoke and flame.
