How many laminate colors does H&R offer
« on: January 03, 2012, 10:18:54 AM »
I just aquired a stock set which was on a 45-70 new. It is a thumbhole set. The stock and forearm look like two totally different colors. On the website it lists the 45-70 with this stock as being "dark brown". I have a match to this from boyds and it is called nutmeg. The forearm is much lighter and looks like it could be there cinnamin. I called H&R and they said that all have have listed for the 45-70 is the cinnamin set. The stock has a marlin pad on it. Antone know or have any issues like this with mismatch stock and forearm or is there a "dark brown" and " cinnamin"

Cinnamon lams vary in color just like other stocks, they don't all take the stain the same.  ;)
