Woman accused of leaving child alone in car to shoplift in Kroger
Hope Britton - Police say she left a child alone in a car while she shoplifted in Kroger. WHAS11.com Posted on January 3, 2012 at 4:11 PM Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - A woman is in jail accused of leaving a 5-year-old girl alone in a store to go shoplifting.
Investigators arrested Hope Britton Friday on drug charges, shoplifting and unlawful transaction with a minor.
Police say last month she was babysitting the girl and then left her alone twice to steal nearly $90 worth of merchandise at a Kroger.
Investigators say they found Britton hiding at a friend's home two weeks later.
