Will a 600 Grizzly "fit" in a full size SHORT bed truck WITH a tool box

When the tailgate is down i have about 6'8" from the box to the end of the gate......

Yes it will fit. Just be sure to tie it down good!!

It will fit, one set of tires will be on the tailgate if you have a toolbox in the truck.

I had the exact same situation, with a cross-over tool box, I had to have the tail gate down. I switched tool boxes + went to a side mount tool box. This way my tail box is closed. Makes my quad a lot less tempting for thieves + piece of mind 4 me. Don't forget to lock quad in truck tho.
