will AR 15 magazine handle 7,62x39 ammo?

will AR15 magazine handle/feed 7,62x39 ammunition?
Remington's 7615 slide action 223 takes AR 15 magazines.I wonder if a better caliber for the 7615 would be the 7.62x39-and whether AR15 magazines would then work?

There are AR mags designed for the 7.62 x 39 round.

A couple of things though.
 
1.  I don't think you'll find a bolt head for a 7.62x39 to use on the 7615.
2.  Why would you go through all the extra expense of doing this when you can buy a cheap AK for 1/2 the cost?

Because the 7615 is a slide action,not a semi-auto,and doesn't quite look like a AR.Some of us are cursed by being in unfriendly states.

What state do you live in?  CA?

I very much realize that the 7615 is a pump action gun.  That's why I said you'll never find a bolt head that will accept a 7.62x39 cartridge.  It's possible to have one machined i'm sure but for the money it's not worth it.

not as bad as CA yet:upstate NY, but bad enough. Too bad downstate[from Elmsford south]hasn't gotten a scale 9 quake or tsunami yet.I suppose one could also say the same about the DC area. I recall seeing at one point, some AKs that were converted to slide action.The nice thing about the 7615,is that it looks like a regular slide action rifle or shotgun[and it takes some of the 870 parts].

like was said theres magazines sold for the 762x39. the followers are a bit differnt and there curved like a ak mag. Ive tried swapping out followers into straight ar mags and they just didnt work right. C-products mags are the only ones you want to use. They are about only one that really works right and even then you about need to swap the mag springs out for AK47 wolf extra power springs.

Yeah NY is a tough state to be in for 2nd amendment support right now :/
 
I would recommend a CZ 527 Carbine in 7.62x39 for you.  They are great guns and would fit your bill nicely.  It would save a lot of money in the long run also.
