I shoot BP Cartridge rifles. I just received a Marlin 336 that was re chambered for 38-55. Its is 'like new' in that its been shor ONLY 4 times and was then stored away for many many years.
The barrel and chamber were done by a professional in AR, the rifle was set up for 38-55 and Starline brass BUT.......I did a stupid thing.
I slid one of my hand loaded rounds that go into my single shot 38-55 into the loading gate and then attempted to lever it into the chamber. WRONG!!! Its a tad bit too long and I should have known this as my hand loads are longer than factory rounds. My bad--my stupid.
NOW WHAT!?!?!?
. I can call a gunsmith tomorrow but I just wondered is there a quick fix to remove the round myself. The lever WILL NOT move either way and I can clearly see that the very tip of the cast lead is sort of stuck.
Anyway I really would appreciate any advice you all can offer. Thanks, Jim Terrio.
