22-250 AI rechamber

Am I treading on thin ice, pressure wise, rechambering a Handi in 223Rem to 22-250 Ackley Improved ?

As long as you don't get adventurious with your powder measure, NO you will be fine. Actually many of the Ackley imporved cartridages exib a bit less forces as they design is more efficient.
The only thing I would say is to watch the rifling twist yof the donor barrel...

I have a fluted 24" 1-9twist .223 rechambered to 22-250AI. I have not worked to much yet with the AI loads as I am still shooting  22-250 to fire form. But from the little AI rounds I have reloaded all indications are that it is a keeper. After this yrs Prairie doggin I should have about 1500 fire formed and will be on AI fuel from there on. Go for it. Kurt
