place to hunt 'em
« on: November 22, 2002, 04:29:41 PM »
I am looking for a new place in OK or TX to hunt hogs. I have done both ranch and free range hunts and would prefer the free range option, , but I wouldn't rule out a good hunt from a ranch, either. Our last place basically just turned us loose with a map and some suggestions of where to look and that is by far my favorite option. Unfortunately, some idiots came in and trashed the house and tore up the ranch a couple months after our last trip, so they aren't really open to the general public anymore. Anyone have any recommendations from your own experiences? Thanks.

Chambers Ranch, Busybee Ranch, JP Ranch (all bowhunting only)

Texas has 1.8 million wild hogs.  A place to hunt should not be that difficult to find.

By private email, I will inform of one ranch in OK to avoid!
I am, therefore, I think.

Diligentia, Vis, Celeritas

I would appreciate that. I've heard the horror stories and am always trying to get good recommendations before heading out. Thanks in advance.

Reed Wildlife Ranch in Kerens Texas.   They have a web site but I'm not sure of the address right now.  They are a short trip south of Dallas Texas.
