Actually, I don't think Oregon is any different than most states. The liberalism emanates from the poopulation and higher education centers. For Oregon, that would be Portland, Eugene and maybe Bend (Bend because it attracts yuppies; the same goes for certain coastal towns). Outside of those examples, I think Oregon is probably fairly conservative. Here in Washington State, we are encumbered more so, because our poopulation and education centers are much bigger and more prevalent and we also have big organized labor that seems inexplicably tied to liberalism.
