Oregon In-state Tuitions
« on: January 10, 2012, 10:23:28 AM »
We may as well place a big welcome to OREGON sign to ILLEGAL'S at the Oregon... Californicate border.

If your an American citizen living in a neighboring state, the tuition fee will be three times as much as an Orgonian, but if your a dam illegal from (Lets get it right here)MEXICO your just as good to go as a local.! If this passes the House, I'll consider moving to North Dakota.....Brrrrrr!

nw_hunter,  you worry too much.  after obama wins again, Oregons institutions of higher learning will be turned into mosques.  most mexicans are catholic, so obama will run them all back to mexico.
see? utopia, beginning nov 2012 ;D

It's all about votes.  Dumycrats fishing for votes anywhere and everywhere is what is behind this stupidness.  Yeah, it might tick off the conservative voters, but they aren't going to vote for Dumycrats anyway.  While illegals might not be able to vote, all of their semi-legal and citizen beaners are influenced by Dumycrat pandering.

I have a brother in Coos Bay, since 1958, and he says Oregon is much like California.
he has fought the fight for conservatives, but lost every battle.
I spent a year there in 63 and just can't figure why the state is so liberal.
welfare maybe ?

Actually, I don't think Oregon is any different than most states.  The liberalism emanates from the poopulation and higher education centers.  For Oregon, that would be Portland, Eugene and maybe Bend (Bend because it attracts yuppies; the same goes for certain coastal towns).  Outside of those examples, I think Oregon is probably fairly conservative.  Here in Washington State, we are encumbered more so, because our poopulation and education centers are much bigger and more prevalent and we also have big organized labor that seems inexplicably tied to liberalism.

If it weren't for my wife having so much family here in the east, I would have moved to Oregon years ago.  with a rifle, shotgun and a fishin pole, you can keep the freezer full.

Magooch is right. It's not much different in other states. In other words, there are a lot of incentives and assistance programs for less capable people studying unimportant subjects. A good engineering student, for example, needs to prove himself to get scholarship dollars. I personally have relatives who have taken degrees in liberal arts subjects and had a lot of assistance doing it despite their average grades. I also have relatives who are very intelligent and have excellent grades who who are studying high value subjects, and they struggle constantly to hunt down scholarships.

All the BS about promoting math and science is just a lie.

Legally you are right. Unfortunately not all states require a valid AMERICAN pic ID to register or vote. Some states even give drivers licenses to illegals. The dems have fought against requiring it for many years now. Valid pic ID is required here. POWDERMAN.  :o :o

Not any more Bug! We now call the ODFW, the.......... Oregon Department of very few fish and NO Wildlife. We do have a large Cougar population if that's your bag!The deer hunting on the west side of Oregon is tough at best. The east side is by draw only. The cost of a license and tags in Oregon is one of the highest in the US. We have IMO one of the most beautiful states in the lower 48, but the majority of Liberal voters instate have ruined it for citizens who love their freedoms.

that's a terrible shame. if you start at the northwest corner and drive down the coast highway, there are scenes that will literally take your breath away.  I ate many cutthroats while there and up at takenitch lake I caught a jillion yellow perch and crappie and killed my first deer down around bandon.  I don't think I want to eat a puma.

Me thinks nw_hunter is kidding a little bit.  Although Washington and Oregon are separated by a large river, I don't think the wildlife has all migrated to Washington.  We've got a very healthy population of deer, elk and yes even cougars.  If it weren't for an enormous over population of seals and voracious sea lions, our fish population would be in much better shape also.  I don't fish, but I do spend a lot of time on the water and I see a lot of fish being caught, so I guess there are still plenty in spite of the submarine mammals.  I did hear some good news and that is that there is a group of killer whales that are working on the seals and sea lions--goody.
