President Barack Obama’s request for authority to streamline U.S. executive agencies was greeted with skepticism from congressional Republicans while Democrats questioned elements of his reorganization plan.
The president said yesterday he wants to be able to undertake any consolidation that would save money and shrink government, subject to a “fast-track” vote of approval or disapproval by Congress in 90 days.
He said his first action would be replacing the Commerce Department with a yet unnamed agency that folds in the U.S. Trade Representative, the Export-Import Bank, the Overseas Private Investment Corp., the Trade and Development Agency and the Small Business Administration.
“The government we have is not the government that we need,” Obama said yesterday at the White House. “Our economy has fundamentally changed — as has the world — but our government, our agencies, have not.”

holly cow I agree with Obama. Never in a million years did I think that would happen.
We do need a new government, one that follows the Constitution and restores our liberties to work, to use our tallents to create jobs.
Hopefully in November the People of the country will rise up and say no more to his systamatic tearing down of our country, our society, and our economic system.

If Obama was able and willing to put us back to pre 1968 gun laws some of you would would find fault with it simply because it came from Obama.

Frankly he never would. He dislikes guns.
He dislikes capitalism
He dislikes your freedom.
He wants you to submit to his and his parties will and do what they think you should do.
Al Gore flys in private jets and takes motor cades has multiple huge houses that gobble energy. But tells you you should own a small home, drive a tiny care and not to fly unless absolutly nessassery and you should take a train instead.

With the way he is abusing his authority to this point, why give him any more power to wield even more and circumvent congress and the senate even more in the future?

It is difficult for me to get excited about anything that sounds like a good idea when I know the speaker is so diametrically opposed to all I hold valuable at a deep level - like life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Another example of this: Satan is a better theologian than all of us, because he does not operate on faith - he knows. Which is why his lies sound so good some times to even the most devout.
