I have a Ruger 77/22 mag all weather that shoots less than 1'' at 50 yds with a couple different types of ammo.  I just bought a CZ 452 Varmit in 22 mag. Found this in a small gun shop new for $400.00.  First CZ I've ever owned and it sure seems like a quaility built rifle.

Dollar for dollar; It's quite difficult to beat a Savage.  I purchased the one below, with accutrigger & iron sights for $179 (below MSRP) at my local gun shop.  It shoots with the Anschutz .22 mags I have owned..and the accutrigger is gravy..  I look at Anschutz, Ruger, Browning etc..we're talking $800 to $1200 and no accuracy advantage.
Of course, they all will drop in price when sold as used.

The 93 BRJ even at a $478 MSRP looks very good, when considered dollar-for-dollar..

I own a few Ruger Rifles,  10/22. 10/22I, 10/22T, 77/22 Hornet, M77 in 308, M77ML in 30-06, 99/44 in 44 mag, and a No. 3 in 45-70.  Add to that a couple Remington 700's, Marlins, Henry, and Winchesters.
The Cz's are still great guns .

Gene,

H&R made a 22 mag auto that was a real nice gun, if you can find them their kind of pricey.  To be honest the Marlins and Savages are about the best buy, and will shoot with anything out there.  You could buy either one and put a good piece of glass on it and still have money left over.

Here's one that is a bit pricey, but should be solid and ACCURATE !  Comes in .22 LR or .22 mag..   I believe Tom Knapp used one in his famous shooting demonstrations...

  Oops...Tom uses a BRNO 511.. same company I guess..but using a semi-auto for precision trick shots speaks well of the product.  Scroll down to "exhibition guns";

Boy, This has throwed a wrench into my thinking.
I want a .22 mag. I wanted a Bolt but I don't like tradional bolts so I am looking a the Browning T Bolt.
Then you bring up the CZ which, in a bolt, is reported to be VERY good.
Then I find the CZ in a semi with a .22 mag option.
Now what the heck-fire am I suposed to think?
I am a fan of semi's.
I wonder if this would lock up good enough to shoot to 200 yards pretty good.
Then you get back to scoping a semi.
But the price is wonderful.
THANK YOU BOYS FOR SCREWING UP MY PLANS AND THINKING !!!!
Blessings

I hear the trigger is a little rough on the 512,but I'm going to try it. Love the 455 .
