I am a huge Ruger fan first of all. Only three things that they make that I wish they would change. Maybe they already have.

1. Better triggers for the 10/22's.

2. Better trigger return springs for the model GP100. The one I had would lock up frequently. The ones I used while in law enforcement would lock up while on the firing line during qualifications.

3. Better quality frame on the P94 that I used to own. The one I used to have was made out of some kind of pot metal or aluminun. The way the trigger linkage was designed was horrible.
I appreciate high quality steel in my firearms. The P94 was not made from the quality of materials that I appreciate. On the other hand I know that they have sold tons of these firearms and many people get fighting mad when their favorite model is questioned. I don't mean to offend anyone but.....

I'm not a flamer and I am only voicing my personal opinion so please don't belittle me for my opinion. I'm done..........

The P-series frames might seem cheap---but in reality they are built like tanks---and will probably outlast a Glock or 1911 for number of rounds fired.

You might want to give em another chance---the P95's and P97's are also extremely durable.

Many highly respected arms have aluminium frames---such as SIG and Beretta----well and the Ruger.

Depending on which "P" model you have---the link is similar to that of the 1911---which has been around for almost 100 years---and I don't hear too many complaints about that system.

The other P's have a cam block system---which seem durable as all get out----esp considering there aren't any moving parts other than the cam itself.

After some thought, I think the "P" series pistol was a P89.

Ruger is one of the countries leading metalurgy facilities.  Really doubt any metal materials they produce would be considered "pot metal".

A semi auto 357/44/45 carbine with folding stock and a removeable magazine..but no star wars looking stuff..for a nice camping/general purpose woods type rifle in a small package with decent capacity. 4 rounds in the deerfield seems a lil skimpy...as compared to 9 or 10 (i think) in winchester levers

How about a short action mini-14 for hunting?  (.308, 7mm-08)?

I'd also like to see better triggers on all Ruger guns!

I wish....I really wish....Ruger would make a stainless .375 H&H in either the all weather or laminate stock.  Not a huge heavy one, something close to the .338 that they've got now.

Somebody's gonna have to, especially since Winchester ain't doing it any more...

....and of course, a better, fully adjustable trigger....

1).  A Mini-14 that can hang with an accurate AR-15 (I think they are working on one).

2).  Crisp triggers on all rifles (lawyers be damned)

3). a .308 semi-auto version of the Mini for deer hunting

4.) a switch barrell system in 17/22 a la Sako

5.) a round body double rifle in 458 Lott

I've thought of one more. I'd love a ruger old army in .36!
I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on; I don't do these things to other people and I require the same from them.

turfman, I totally agree. My wish is chamberings in the RSI are 260 and 7-08 or 6.5 Swede and 7mm Mauser to compliment the classic European lines of the rifle.

I would buy any #1 in 260, 7-08, or 6.5 Swede. I don't know why they feel like all new cartridges have to be for Africa. This is an amazing hole in their cartridge selection.

A 17 HMR version of the 10/22 (10/17 HMR) with a bull-barrel

An accurate .308 version of the mini-14

How about a 44 deerstalker carbine chambered in, say, 454, 460 or 500 S&W?  It would be an even better close range thumper.
