right now the one thing I would like to see most of all is a regular production 22/45 with the 6 7/8" barrel (round bull no slabside stuff).
I really want one of these guns, but alas I may have to settle for the 5.5" blue barrel version.
Oh yeah a bunch of nice grip choices wouldn't be half bad either.
Does anyone know if Ruger ever produced a round bull barrel 6 7/8" 22/45? I know they make them in MKII's , but it doesn't seem to be in 22/45's... Pity.
Good topic though.

Not sure why it's not listed in their catalog, but they do have it listed on their recently updated website.  It doesn't appear to be available in stainless, maybe that was what your friend was looking for?

I would like to see ruger make a mini 14 style rifle in .308 cal that uses 10 round or m-14 magazines.  I am sure it would sell very well.

:cb2: While I'm thinking about it, a #1 in 6.5 Swede (I'd settle for a .260), but since they've dropped the 6.5 from the M77 line I guess it'll never happen now. What a shame.

I wish for a GP100  with a five shot 44 special cylinder, gray finish, fixed sights, and smooth wood grips.

Also a MKII 77 in 35 Whelen with 22" barrel, iron sights, weighing under 7 pounds.

It's the one I've been looking for, and it looks like others have been yearning, as well.

Been eyeing a .22 Hunter for some time now myself.  Cheapest I've seen them (or any new Hunter model) is $489.  Ain't likely to find one at the $400 mark.  I also would hold my breath waiting for the new .17 convertable Hunter.  More demand for other new items than for this.  Last year the rimfire Hunters didn't hit shelves until May/June

A #1 A light sporter in .257 roberts and/or 6.5x55 would be nice, something to fill the power gap between the .243 and 7x57.

I can wish, anyway.

I wish they would make a 5 shot Bisley in 475Linebaugh/480Ruger and 500 Linebaugh. It should be offered in 5 1/2 and 7 1/2" barrels blue and stainless with express gold bead sights available as an option. If they would not make these the least they could do is offer the regular bisleys wiith a shorter barrel and add the 41 mag back to the line up.

Also they should make the 32mag in a Bisley with adj. sights. I have one of the original 32 Bisleys with adj. sights. It is my favorite small cal. pistol.

The .500 won't fit in the existing SRh cylinder or frame.  An entirely new frame would need to be engineered resulting in an entirely new model.  A pretty pricey undertaking.

If they can fit 6 shots in .480 Ruger in that gun, they should be able to fit 5, .500 Mags in it. Taurus did it with the Raging Bull. They may have to elongate the frame a bit, but thats no big deal for Ruger considering the profit they would enjoy from that chambering.  Bill T.

correct, they could.  That lengthening and 5 shot cyl would still require an entire redesign.  The pressure level need to be met and the timing needs to be correct.  Not a simple or inexpensive task really.  It takes quite a few to be sold to actually break even from the time & money spent on these processes.  It's not a model that a huge number of poeple are clamoring over as ar as I read and know.   Too specialized of a cartridge.  Maybe when it bcomes more mainstream.  it took a while for everyone to really accept 454 Casull as a full commercial cartridge.

This post is close to having a birthday, and I didn't see any of the wish-list guns in this year's offering from Ruger.  A Super Blackhawk in .480?...I guess thats not going to happen anytime soon.  How about a snubnosed SRH instead.

I would like to have a smaller version of the P345 in 45GAP.
I like what they did with the P345, but would like it in a more compact version with the same power: 45GAP.

I like my other Rugers, maybe wish my Bisley SB was in 480 vs 44Mag.

Any handgun w/out "before using gun-read warnings in instruction manual available free from"
It ticks me off everytime I see that filling up the barrel of my various guns.
It bothers me more & more over the years. I just don't see the point.
I'm glad I got that off my chest.
