Danielle Mailloux pleaded guilty to child endangerment with an enhancement of great bodily injury. An attempted murder charge was dropped in accordance to her plea bargain with the prosecution. Mailloux was originally arrested in May, on attempted murder charges. According to the investigative report, Mailloux stabbed and cut her then 6-week-old baby with a kitchen knife 21 times. Related Content   Mother Stabs 6-Week-Old Baby Multiple Times, Deputies Say Officials said the baby was found under a sleeping bag in a closet. Mailloux was facing eight years in prison, but that was suspended. Instead, she is to serve nine months in jail. She has already served eight months and is slated to be out on Feb. 14. Mallioux will be on probation for five years. Mailloux's attorney, Mark Anthony Raimondo said after the sentencing, "Her family is thrilled. Mailloux now has an opportunity to move her life in the right direction." She also has to attend parenting classes, complete a rehab program and stay off drugs. The baby has fully recovered. Child Protective Services said that how Mailloux does with her parenting classes, rehabilitation and checkups, will determine whether or not she will get her child back.

The judge that gives that woman back her child should be held accountable for anything that happens to that child from the mother. That child is better off not ever knowing it's mother. Dale

I had to read it a few times, because I thought I was missing something when I read the 9 months jail time part. Probably won't be long before women can kill their kids legally after they are born if they decide they don't want them or like them. It won't be much different than killing them before they are born. They are still killing them. Its just that the after born way is illegal. For now.
