Updated today at 4:12 PM        LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- Lexington Police have charged a woman they say drove away from a liquor store, leaving her baby in a shopping cart outside.
 
Police charged 24-year-old Kelly Gonzales with endangering the welfare of a minor, according to WKYT-TV.
 
A customer found the 7-month-old girl Wednesday night and police were called. The baby had been outside for about 10 minutes in chilly weather. Authorities said Gonzales returned to the store about 45 minutes later and was arrested. The baby did not require medical attention.
 
The baby's grandmother said social services took custody of all four of Gonzales' children.

 

 News tonight said the baby was out there at least 25 min. I wonder if she's legal?? POWDERMAN.

If her first name's Kelly she was probably born here.

I assure you she's legal since as of yet there is no restriction on who can have kids.  The dumbest slug on earth can have kids.  Where the mother's from and how she got here has nothing to do with it.  Besides, who hasn't gone into their local watering hole and forgotten their kid?    I've heard of people going into such places and not even finding something as big as their car until days later.
