accessory barrels and accuracy?
« on: January 21, 2012, 03:44:49 PM »
I was wondering if any of you guys with multiple barrles for one reciever suffer any accuracy problems? DO any of you dedicate a forearm for each barrel? I really want to send my reciever in to have a 22 hornet barrel fitted but dont want to have problems when switching between it and the whelen. Thnx for any input you guys have.

Mey Bucco921.  I use the same forends without issue on mine.  I float them all with an oring and my .223 shoots ragged one hole groups as does the .45-70 barrel that shares the BC frame.  So in my case no issue.  If you haven't already make sure you read the FAQ sticky and it might answer a lot of your questions.  ;)

I read most of the stickies, just wanted to be sure. I am in the process of floating the whelen barrel right now and working on my first handloads so I figured while the gun was in pieces would be a good time to send it in. ( and income tax check coming soon)

I have three barrels fitted to one receiver. One of them has their own glass and pillar bedded forend and the others will too, sometime in the near future. I have no issues with accuracy when swapping barrels.

Thanks, Dinny
