Reed's is a GBO sponsor.  I have bought brass from them, they were reasonable and helpful.

I'm not seeing .357 Max brass in stock anywhere, so I'm looking at getting loaded ammo and keeping the brass for loading. Just seeing if anyone has any insights on the quality brass they use, how hot the loads are, etc. Since I expect to use this brass awhile I'm looking for mid-range loads that won't over stress the brass on first firing.

Kevin, if you will call Reed's or PM them on this board, they may sell you some brass...worth a try.  At the very least, they will answer your questions on ammo.

God knows I love my 357 Maximum; however, I think you could do better to wait and watch for brass to become available. I'm seeing brass pop up fairly regularly on various boards. It's just a matter of being patient. Good things come to those who wait.

Google can be your best friend.

Good Luck !

I bought a box of 200gr. hardcast with gas checks for my Maxi. It's good shooting ammo and burns clean. I haven't shot any game with it but I have no doubt it would kill the hell out of a deer or bear.
The ammo wasn't available when I ordered it but they ran another batch within 2 weeks and got it out to me. They sent me a couple emails during the wait just to touch base with me and let me know they hadn't forgotten about me. That's a real nice touch. ;)  I don't have any problem with recommending them or their ammo... it's good ammo and they're good to deal with.

Their stuff is good quality and they're great to deal with.  I had two boxes of Maxi ammo on backorder for quite a while, but it came through.  I had enough brass and bullets when it finally came, I really didn't need it, but it'll go to good use.

Ya don't need much..............lost count on how many times I've shot about 30 pcs.  Probably well over 10x's each.  Still going strong
