Yeah quite a story!  I'm glad they'll both be ok - really close call for the guy! The newspapers  have been posting warnings that the moose are getting grumpy with the deep snow.

Great Post Akmike...

Those folks are packing some grit. Sounds like all will recover and thats good.

Moose have quite a reputation for being hard on dogs and people, more so than most willow-eating critters but that moose seemed more gnarly than most. Glad to read the Mrs. was able to teach that moose some manners with her grain shovel !

Yup, Tough.

In the 5 years I was up there I didn't hear of one bear attack, but my boss was treed by a moose.
