45 ACP brass - some just don't reload

I have noticed that some 45 acp brass just will not reload.  I mainly use range pickup brass (not AL or steel) and have noticed that there are brands of brass that will not reload.  By "not reload" I mean, when I'm done with a reload, I check them in a go guage to insure proper chambering.  My main do-not use brass is AMERC, but there are a few others.  In case you're wondering, I use a LEE carbide set and go through all the normal steps.
 
Has anyone else found some 45 brass that just will not work?  And what brand?  Maybe I'm just crazy....

There are some Federal brand rounds that have small primers in them.  Other than that, I've never seen any issues.  My Lee dies chew em up....meaning resize away.....one after another.

Anything regardless of caliber with AMERC for a headstamp has been known since it's inception to be junk.  Factory ammo with this headstamp is little more than junk to start with so what do you expect?

AMERC almost never chambers when reloaded with any manufacturer's dies. Still, when the loaded rounds are run through the Lee Factory Crimp Die, they chamber. I load range pickup brass for my 9s/40s/45s. My 5th die station for them all has the LFCD. I still gauge my match ammo, but it's not necessary as they all drop right in.  Cheap insurance for anyone using range brass.

My personal hated brass is magtech .45acp.  I almost always end up with twisted rims and such.  Think it's just too soft in the web area.  8(

Berdan primed maybe??
I have even come across a couple WWII steel cases. They went right thru the Dillon and where reloaded just fine... ::)

I just purchases a 5-gallon bucket of .45 brass from just about every manufacturer you can name. I had to go through and chuck the small pistol primer pockets, but so far I have had no problems in over 3,000 rounds, and none due to brass. If you havent had problems with your dies before, or othere than AMERC brass, I'd say that that paricular brass is to be avoided.

Agree 100 % with Savage.  ALL my 45 acp , AMERIC brass must be run through the Lee factory crimp die.  I've tried it in my Springfield 1911s , both the mil-spec and the R.O.  won't chamber ...also my Ruger P-345...(and it will digest anything)....without first running them through the LFCD , won't chamber.  Most of the other brass will work...but as Savage said...run them all through it.
