Robert Hegyes passes away at age 60

Robert Hegyes passed away today at age 60. 
For those of you who can't quite place the name, maybe you remember the character he played: Juan Epstein -- full name: Juan Luis Pedro Phillipo de Huevos Epstein -- on the 1970s sitcom "Welcome Back, Kotter" from 1975 to 1979. This show also starred "the super-cocky womanizer Vinnie Barbarino (played by a young John Travolta) and hip but beleaguered high school teacher Gabe Kotter (played by Gabe Kaplan)."

RIP Robert, you made a lot of us laugh.

Was he the little guy that always rised his hand and started yelling? haven't saw the show in at least 20 years. Very funnly show ,what I remember of it.

He was the Hispanic-Jewish kid in the class, always showing up with a note to explain why he missed class, the note was signed; "Epsteins mom"

I am of that Certain Age... that show was running when I was in HS. Loved it.
