200 gr 357 magnum for hog hunting

I have a 357 Windicator I have shot the 158 gr no problem..(from COR BON) I have not shot the 180 gr yet  or the 200 gr either..My question is .....will the EEA Windicator 357 magnum tolerate the 180 gr....and why does it not accept the 200gr it seems that the 200gr round is longer than the 180 round and it does not fit in the cylinder length. I can not close the cylinder with the 200gr all this ammo is from COR BON...I am trying to understand why this happens but everything looks ok with the primer and the round  just looks like the tip is longer. I read a few posts  and one had a Windicator blown up  so I figured I come here and see if anybody knows about the specification for  the 357 EEA Windicator. (by the way I grind down six round tips and they fit but my fear is will it be too much pressure for the gun and will it blow up??)

Crusader:  I do not have any experience with the Windicator but I will not purchase and do not use Cor-Bon ammo. 
 
I would pull the bullets from those 200 gn loads and either reload them with Winchester 296 and seat them deeply enough to get them to fit or toss the slugs and use the 200 gn cast swc slugs from either Colorado Custom Cast Bullets or Mt. Baldy Bullets over a Winchester factory charge of 12.4 of WW296 powder with a good crimp and a Winchester Standard or Magnum primer.  Winchester chronographs these loads at 1335'/sec (barrel length unknow however). 
 
I have used this load combination on hog, bear and whitetail, all from a 3.5" S&W, successfully.  I would avoid cor-bon ammo like the plague.  What you get ripped off for in purchasing one or two boxes of their stuff could get you started nicely in your own reloading and believe me, there is nothing that corbon sells or makes up that you cannot do better than by reloading your own.

The CorBon 200 grain cast runs great in my 6 inch Colt Python. They will also fit and run good in my Ruger SP101. However I prefer 180 grain cast loads in the Ruger because they are shorter. Buffalo Bore makes a good hot 180 grain. My suggestion would be to go with the Federal 180 grain Cast Core load if you want to run a good cast load that is loaded shorter than the CorBon. Federal loads to industry standards so as long as your 357 is in proper condition they will be just fine.

if you dont plan to handload then you gotta go with the federal 180gr. castcores! they shoot great out of my gp100 and dont have alot of recoil at all. i can say that they bust thru deer fine:)
