If looks could kill a cat, this one would be a cat tack driver IMO.
Also not known for its good looks, the Anshutz Exemplar's are what I both IHMSA and varmint hunted with (22LR & 22 Hornet), and they were both tackdrivers off the bench or Creedmore. In all of their configurations during the models run they were quite popular with the IHMSA as well as with the squirrel/varmint hunting crowds. Left bolt was standard, right bolt available for a premium, and based on their Model 64 Match action. They were available at various times in 17HMR, 22LR, 22WMR and 22 Hornet with 5 shot clips standard, 10 shot clips available as well as some in single shot versions, and multiple barrel lengths/sight options. In use a slingshot Exemplar would be serviceable for either useage, but the clip models were far more popular with the silhouette crowd anyway. Your strong hand weld doesn't have to be broken reloading whether a single shot or repeater, and that would apply to the above cat killer as well.
The $200 price ought to make the cat killer a winner in as much as I've seen Exemplars running $700-$1500 or more to buy now days, with the silhouette 22LR and Hornet versions the hardest to find. I would have liked to try out a 17HMR...
