The search continues....
« on: January 29, 2012, 09:53:45 AM »
Well I have been looking and have had a couple dealers looking now for over a month... NO LUCK.

Today I hit a couple local dealers including Cabelas. I found a bunch of Handis, none in 35 Remington. (Not surprised) I almost dropped the hammer on a 35 Whelen but the 1.5-2HR affair purchasing a firearm at Cabelas stopped that idea.....
I did find a very nice 22/250 at another dealer for a very attractive cost. I am considering going against my own reservations and sending in for a replacement barrel... I would go 357 mag but its a SB1 and I also need a receiver..... That one will not work for what I want... I want to rechamber to 356 Winchester.

If anyone comes across a complete 35 Rem rifle at there local dealer, I would be most appreciative if you grabbed there card and PM me the info! (Even if you have a 35 Rem barrel for sale, PM me!!)

Saw one Friday at a gun shop in Arcadia, MO.  They had 20 or so handi and I am 90% sure one was 35 remington.  Warning, they are proud of them.  The only reason it is still there and not my house.

Hey CW,
Curious if you ever got ahold of arcadia sports about the 35 rem.  Heading back up next week and may stop in there.

Yes I did call a couple times got disconnected once and dropped the call a second time.

I left the number with my dealer as well.

BUT I have a update!  Yesterday I secured a 35 Rem the the efforts of a couple kind hearted members here!!! I should have it in my hands by the end of next week!

Thank you everyone for all efforts on my behalf. It is very much appreciated!!!
