The fight for freedom does not begin or end with Ron Paul. Comparing Ron to David Koresh or Jim Jones is insane. Ron is a freedom fighter not a cult leader. The sad thing is Ron is the only candidate that defends the constitution and Americans won't vote for him. If any candidate truly defends and fights for the constitution I will support them.

I'd even vote for a  Democrat (gag) who proved that he supports/defends/fights for the constitution! (hack!!! choke!!! Gag!!! Spit/spit/spit.....did I really say that? :o )

This says it all right here -
Birds of a feather ........

The good news: Newt Gingrich has reportedly received a former House colleague’s endorsement, something that has not been very common. The bad news: It’s from Randy “Duke” Cunningham, the former California GOP congressman who is currently serving a 100-month sentence in federal prison on conspiracy, fraud and tax evasion charges.

Full story here :
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/election-2012/post/newt-gingrich-endorsed-by-duke-cunningham/2012/01/26/gIQAI65tTQ_blog.html

I'll stick with my not so mainstream GOP candidate.

Ha!  Consequently the same sounds everybody made last election if they voted for McCain lol!
I'm voting 3rd party in this election by writing in Jesus Christ for president.  Sadly even if this were an option most of you would still vote Republican because "It's a two party system."

Looks like Romney and Obama in November.  FL is all in, so it's a moot point now.

So, with only 46 states to go it's all over. Romney wins.

He's got the nomination.  We'll see if he wins in November.

I don't know why he couldn't beat Obama, He has the same political views and ethics.  The liberals that voted for Obama and are unhappy should feel at home voting for Romney.

I'm hoping that's the case, you have to be able to get liberal votes because there aren't enough conservatives to elect anyone.

Color me disenfranchised. I dont know what I will do in November. I will not vote for Obama. I would vote for Paul I would vote for Santorum and I would even vote for that sawed off arrogant little runt Gingrich. But I dont know if I can find it within myself to cast a vote for Romney. I had a hard enough time voting for Mccain.

I'm thinking along the same lines. If Mitt is it, I don't think I will be able to vote for him. I'm kind of sick of voting for the lesser of the two evils. If Obama gets another four then so be it. This nation deserves him. Who we elect is a reflection on the nation as a whole.

Quite frankly , In the greater scheme of things , it probably really doesn't matter who sits in the oval office . what probably matters more is what party controls Senate and House.

Yessiree, that's the key right there.
I've said it before I'll say it again , those of you disenfranchised folks that have democrat US Senators, and US House Reps, need to get out of the house and onto the streets and get those democrats replaced.....
In the 1920's "sheeple" was a term coined by the National Socialist Party in Germany to describe people that would not vote for Hitler. In the 1930's they held Hitler as the only one that would bring pride back to Germany and bring the budget and economy back.....

there appears to be class envy among all political parties.  romney worked his butt off and made good.  obama lied and cheated to get where he's at.  I wish that I'd worked as hard as romney.

Looks like swampy is onto something..  Mitt Romney likely must thank his folks for his college education...but then, there are hundreds of thousands who should do that !  I wonder who paid Obama's way through the Ivy League ? Either Obama, for that matter !
Looks like Romney made his money in business, and if you're smart..there's big money in big business.

Sure, he had some help along the way, but he has worked for a living, rather than to sponge on a govt dole "job" ..better than what can be said for superboy.

Romeny and Obama are nothing alike? In what areas do they differ? In the socialized medicine area or the gun control area? Oh wait they may be somewhat different...I guess Romney could produce a birth certificate without a 3 year delay.

I don't know if he could or not. Romney's Great Grandfather left U.S cause he didn't like the laws. So he moved to Mexico to continue the practice of Polygamy. With all this family running back and forth across the border....Who knows what country little Mitt has his true allegiances with since I guess half his polygamist family roots still lives in Colonia Juarez.

Either way... the way this is shaping up the probable choices I'll have in November sicken me. Prior to G.W. I voted libertarian but then I voted Bush to keep Gore out then I voted Bush to keep Kerry out then I voted Mccain to keep Obama out...I'm tired of playing that game.

We are comparing Obama with Romney and discussing which of the two is more worthy of being the POTUS. Is there not a standard anymore? Is this what we see as the standard when electing a leader? Obama or Mitt? How is it that Mitt is now considered the conservative, that all us good little conservatives should make a mad dash and vote for him? We had a couple of what I considered conservative candidates, but they have kind of got swept under the carpet. Is a true conservative candidate no longer considered the standard for a conservative anymore? If Mitt is the kind of person you feel should represent you and be the POTUS, then by all means vote for him.
I have been torn for years now with the decision to vote for the lesser of two evils or vote my conscience. I will not vote for someone like Mitt anymore. I'm sick of having to do that. I think the guy is a liar, he has, and/ or will support abortion, he has, and/or will support more gun laws, and he can spend tax dollars with the best of them. If Obama gets elected, so be it this country deserves what they vote for, but I'm done voting for people with the likes of him or Mitt.

Same here. So now it's down to these choices:

1. A proven gun-grabber who signed socialist healthcare into law.
2. A proven gun-grabber who signed socialist healthcare into law.
3. Third party

It's going to be option 3 for me. My days of being a prostitute for the very liberal Republican party are over.

It took me along time to get the picture and break my voting cycle.........(The Lesser of) Two terms of G.W. was the final straw, and I feel better about myself now for doing so.

+1   Well spoken sir.
I'm voting 3rd party in this election by writing in Jesus Christ for president.  Sadly even if this were an option most of you would still vote Republican because "It's a two party system."
