Not tried a BSA, but have a Simmons 2.5x20 that was on my 870 pump. Plenty of eye relief, but that little 20mm doesn't let much light in as it gets towards dark.

Never tried a bsa, but on my 20ga ush, I have it topped off with a 1-4x32 bushnell banner dusk to dawn, it was around 70 bucks, and it is the best shotgun specific scope I have ever tried, gathers a hell of a lot of light in low light conditions, has a ton of eye relief, and is a very good scope, chucked up in a set of weaver medium rings, its a great combination, if I were to be shooting out to 200+ yds, I would have put a 2-7 or 3-9 on it, but where I deer hunt 100 yard clear shot is rare, so this is plenty of scope for me, usually leave it on 2 power. I hope this helps.
