Dual dove tail design would appear to be more secure than the standard setup with rear windage adjmnt. Opinions?

Dual dovetail rings are stronger and far less prone to come loose. Had the Talley rings with the integral bases been available when I bought my M70 Win I would have bought them. The rings mount to the reciever with the bases as part of the rings. Loctite the screws and there's less to move or come loose.

Dual dovetail...and don't even think about the standard rings.

If you want a heavier duty application, take a look at the Warne Maxima Rings - I own several of them and I love 'em.  They are heavier than the dual dovetails, but they are stronger - especially due in part to the intregal key stop that fits between the rings and the bases.
