Was it a sin against the H&R gods?
« on: January 31, 2012, 04:11:06 AM »
Bless me H&R for I have sinned, I was at dick's buying the last 22-250 handi they had (doesn't everyone need two 22-250s?) and a Rossi 20 ga trifecta somehow jumped in my cart.  It was the 1 with the 20ga rifled,20 ga mod,and 22lr.  What could I do when I saw the price at $59?  I'm thinking good beater truck gun.

Fifty-nine dollars? Sounds more like "30 pieces of silver".   ;)
Just kidding, it seems like you really scored big time on this deal.  Yeah, I would agree that the Rossi is a good beater truck gun.  You actually did really good, since you also scored a Dick's special with all the goodies for a buck fifty.  Think about it approximately $210 for two guns and 4 barrels.

Was the Rossi combo a close out, or display set?  That is a extremely low price for the set.

Enjoy your new guns.

I'm thinking I sould check my local dick's today when I go to town for my Dr appt.  That would fill all the spots I want to fill this yr.  Cheap .22lr, smooth bore to chop, and bonus rifled barrel.
My biggest fear in life is dying and my wife selling my guns for what I told her I paid for them.

bodie,
You must say 7 "Hail Sportsman"and pray to St. Gilbert and St. William.  Then you'll be OK, since you already confessed.  60 BUCKS - I'll say that is a fair price.

Congrats on the great buy, but don't feel guilty, if I can fit a Rossi Wizard barrel to a Handi frame, buying a Rossi combo isn't so bad!!!  ;D The combo was probably discontinued, that's why it was only $59!  ;) Either that or it's mismatched combo, Rossi doesn't list in on their website. Could be a special order by Dick's too, the Handis they're closing out are.

I stopped into my local Dick's today...no such luck here.  I even had the wife's permission to come home with one if they had one.  I can never find deals like that around here.  Just have to keep looking I guess.

The clerk said that this was an old trifecta.  I can't find anything online about it either.  Here is all the info.
SKU : 011164162
Vendor SKU : S202022YOD
SKU Desc : OD GREENS/NCOLR/NSIZE/ND
20GA/20SLUG/22LR/22/23/18 BL YT

Good luck to anyone that can find 1, I'm kicking myself, they had a second display model when I put a hold on the 1st, it was gone when I picked up mine.

The set normally retails for $299.99?  Hey bodie4 you just saved $240.00!
Sounds like a commercial. ;D
