30-30 to 30-30A1

When rechambering to Ackley cases, I know that on most calibers the barrel has to be set back in order to get a true Ackley chamber. I seem to recollect that this is not necessary on the 30-30. Some of you please chime in and explain this for me. Thanks.

I've had one Contender barrel that was rechambered to .30-30 AI and one that started life that way. The new one worked a lot better than the rechamber. If ya want one I'd highly recommend getting one chambered that way to begin with tho the rechamber I had did work OK it never was as accurate tho as the other.

Properly done the barrel does not need set back. With the 30-30 ai the cartridge should still headspace on the rim.
In the 1920's "sheeple" was a term coined by the National Socialist Party in Germany to describe people that would not vote for Hitler. In the 1930's they held Hitler as the only one that would bring pride back to Germany and bring the budget and economy back.....
