Lanes Hand Loader

   Just trying Options other than The "Old School" Lee Hand Loader that seems runs for $75+ on eBay... Wish they were still being made
 
  There is a Company called Lanes Reloding That makes a Hand Loader for the 410... Anybody know of them and/or Have any feeback ?
 
   My Goal is to Re-Use the  Hulls for my sons 410 and keep it Low Budget ... Don't need a High Production Reloader. I currently reload for most of my Rifle Rounds so I'm, Famiar  the concept.

Did you check out the Paco Tools version I posted on one of your other threads about this?  Never heard of the Lanes and couldn't seem to find a good link for it anywhere that didn't end in advertisements....

I checked Poco Tools but for the $ I culd get a MEC 600 Jr for less. I appreciate the informtiont all I realy want is a Low Cost & Low volume set-up.

Check out Rocky Mountain Cartidge Company. $45 for the loader. Works well if you want to use brass hulls. RMC hulls are very expensive but last forever. I've been told that you can get dozens of reloads per hull.

Do a 'directed search' for '.410 Mec press' or '.410 MEC reloader' and see what EVENTUALLY shows up! (?)
 
One may not appear for several weeks or even a few months, but at least 'eBay's search' would be looking for you!  I doubt it would be nearly as inexpensive as a 12 or 20 gauger, sine its more rare and competition might be KEEN.

The Lanes set will reload and crimp normal plastic shells.  I think the RM Cartridge Co. will only work with their all brass shells that need glue on the overshot wad.

I know it is not what you were looking for but I figured I would throw it out there.

I used to load up 444 Marlin brass as 410 shotshells for my 410.

Worked well for low volume.

Prime brass
Load powder
load shotcup
pour in shot
over shot card
little elmers glue

Good to go.

How much shot are you getting in those .444 cases?  All of mine are the shorter Hornady cases.

Correct.
RMC hulls are the best brass hulls that you can buy. With a little care, they will outlast you. The RMC reloader is only for their hulls.
The RMC hulls are lathe turned and so they are "true to gauge" meaning that you can use regular modern components and those will fit properly. Other brass hulls are drawn brass and require larger wads than the nominal gauge (12 ga. needs 11 gauge wads).

Back to KRexs original question.  Has anyone tried the Lanes reloader?  Other then being aluminum they look to be the same as the original Lee loaders that are selling used at $75.
