Gun Show Find

I went to the gun show in Barre, Vt yesterday. I've been looking for one of these old style forends for
about 7-8 years. They're as hard to find as hens teeth. I was looking at a table and I saw 2 fore arms.
One regular wood for a rifle and then this one. I couldn't believe it. I like this style forearm. I'm happy.
I've read that T/C used this fore arm on the first year or two of making Encores.

Glad you found one,I have them on all my Encores and if you would have sent Ed's contenders an order for one you could have saved years looking :)  all in knowing where to look,I always check him first as he has lots of used stuff, the last one I got from him at gun show was 25.00 used but in perfect shape, price may vary :)  I did get one from a member here on forum I think around 30.00 shipped, just goes to show if you look long enough one will turn up :) now where are all the Mossberg SSi one barrels? :)

At the show, I didn't see any SSi barrels, but one seller had a like new SSi in 30-06 for $400., had a base and rings.
Looked nice.

I like those older forends also.  I keep my eye out for them at gun shows, but I don't believe I have come across one yet.  Does anyone know if they ever made them in black composite material?
