One of the problems with the screws seems to be stripping the heads if your not careful. IIRC Quick has offered that there are Torx head screws avalable as perfect replacements for the H&R scope rail screws. If I also remember they are available only in large quantities and the shipping is not cheap. If anyone wants to get together and buy a box of 100 or so and split them up into smaller packages of 10 or 20 to package I would be in for 20 or so....<><....:)

Brownells sells the 6-48 T10 torx head screws by the dozen, their shipping is $5.95 for small parts which is not bad compared to other retailers, part number is in the scope base section of the FAQs.

¼", that's in the FAQs too, do the F3 page search for torx if you're on a real computer.
