Daisy model 25
« on: February 08, 2012, 02:09:24 PM »
My wife laughed at me when I bought myself a 70th birthday present.  It was  Daisy model 25 just like the one that I put untold thousands of bbs through back in the early 50s.  I paid $5 for that gun and this one was around $45 but what the heck you only turn 70 once.  What is even better is that this one has a wood stock, not plastic like my earlier one.  Daisy had just made the change when I got my earlier one and a slightly older boy had one with a wood stock and he was the envy of all the rest of us.  Sue thought this was so funny she called a friend in Alabama to tell her and then learned that this woman's husband had just got one too.  She called her father and guess what.  He wanted to know where I got mine.  I guess we are all entering our second childhoods.  I don't care I have wanted another one ever since I gave my old one to an at that time young brother in law back in the late 60s.  Let her laugh I have a brand new model 25 and it even has a wood stock.  It don't get much better.  A real wood stock, oh boy, oh boy!

Congratulations!! it's not often we get a second chance at a childhood dream!!

For those who (like me) are not familiar with the model 25, it's a slide action repeater that holds about 50 BB's and launches them at 350 fps.  It shoots as fast as you can pump the action and squeeze the trigger.  Here's the link I found to Pyramid Air featuring that rifle:

Have fun young man, and don't shoot yer eye out.  You only have two ya know.  ;D

I bought one a couple years back too! Just as great as I remember!!

It's at my place in the Catskills and is reserved for shooting tin cans off the porch!!

Enjoy yours!
